Getting started with Blockenberg is a simple, three-step process. Unlike traditional security models, we don't use passwords. All you need is a unique user or organization name. Our registration technology uses UCAN authentication, which provides an extra layer of security. You can learn more about UCAN authentication at https://ucan.xyz/. Your security information is stored on your own computer, so it's important to use your own device.

Once you've created your account, you can share it with your team members. This isn't a requirement, but it can be helpful for content creators who work together as an organization. To share your account, simply go to your settings and click on "Connect additional device". Then, click on the "Share link" button to copy the secret URL. Paste the URL into a secure messaging app or email and validate the request on both sides with a PIN.

Now it's time to start creating content! Click on the "Create" link in the navigation to open our user-friendly text editor. You can upload a cover image to visually communicate your content. Just click on the "Cover photo" button and select "Upload". Every image you upload is stored on your account and will appear in your gallery in the future. Be sure to consider how your image will be represented on the target site/application to avoid incorrect aspect ratios. Images need to be downloaded to the client, so it's important to keep their size as low as possible.

As you add content, the header part of the UI will disappear to provide a clean and minimal interface. If you want to view your cover image and headline again, just click on the eye icon. You can save and edit your content as many times as you like. All of your changes are automatically uploaded to our decentralized storage, which is completely safe and secure. You can even continue editing and republishing your articles.

When your article is ready, simply hit the publish button. If you've configured the webhook URL to refresh your application content, it may take a few seconds for your web to be updated with your new article. Congratulations! Your article now lives on IPFS, and you've become part of our decentralized future.
